Olivia and Tom met in their senior year at James Madison University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, VA. It is hard to believe that the two of them were coexisting in the same happy little place for 3 years before meeting one another at a fraternity function. From the time they met, it was clear the two of them had a strong, special connection and look back so fondly on the memories they made together at JMU. Upon graduation, the couple embarked on a new chapter of long distance for a short period of time before the two came together when Olivia began her accelerated nursing program in Northern Virginia. Living together in Arlington, the couple enjoyed growing their relationship together surrounded by friends from JMU. Olivia and Tom then made their way to Richmond, VA, Olivia’s hometown, where they lived in the city before settling down and buying their first beautiful home together in Midlothian, VA. The move to Richmond also brought their dog Bowie, who is at the absolute center of their lives. In July of 2021, Tom popped the question to Olivia (on his own birthday!) to seal the deal surrounded by family.
Olivia is the Nurse Manager of the 2nd largest Trauma ICU in Richmond VA. During COVID and the difficult times for healthcare workers, she became very close with the Chaplin at the hospital. The Chaplin married them at Hermitage Country Club on 10.22.22!
Beautiful sunny fall day with temperatures in the low 70's was perfect weather for an outside ceremony by the lake on the golf course. Ten bridesmaids and ten groomsmens were the wedding party. Colored smoke sticks kicked off the pre ceremony pictures. Immediately following the ceremony, there was cocktail hour, formal dinner and the band The Dundies performed. The bride was crowd surfing at one point.
