With the change of seasons upon us, Strictly Weddings is inspired by the mixture of fall tones with darker, rich hues that feature the color of the year, Marsala, accents of gold and a fusion of lush greens. Showcasing wedding gown designer Jinza Couture Bridal, an extraordinary team came together for a styled shoot captured by photographer Jeremy Chou for today’s vintage wedding inspiration – perfect for brides planning their fall or winter wedding.
As an architectural landmark from 1925, the legendary Park Plaza in Los Angeles was the perfect backdrop for the shoot. Blending vintage furniture with dark leather, the team created a masculine feel contrasting beautifully with the sexy and feminine vibe of Jinza’s lace gowns.
Cascading, whimsical and organic floral arrangements with an abundance of varying greens and pops of purples and burgundies with overlaying neutrals were designed by Love Anne Joy Design + Events and Here Come the Bloom. Aurora in Cerise linens and Green Tea napkins from our partner Luxe Linen served as the base of the décor color palette. Eclectic vintage chinaware from Cherished Rentals featured an ornate gold filigree pattern with dainty rose buds and a Marsala rim to compliment the table scape. Golden sweetheart chair decorations were incorporated to add a modern flair from Etsy store, Let’s Tie the Knot.
A four-tier cake with shades of purple, edible gold luster and sugary floral details by The French Confection perfected the stylizing. Picking up the same color scheme and adding their own touch of shine was The Paper Mint Press’ invitation suite. Shimmering gold trim along with an English garden floral pattern gave a polished touch.
The crème de la crème of the shoot were two jaw-dropping Jinza bridal gowns from their new collection. Using luxury and lightweight fabric, with the combination of lace, these dresses emphasize the brides’ natural beauty. Jinza designed these gowns specifically for Southern California brides in mind, with some of the new collection being exclusive to their LA boutique. Jinza believes that traditional, sexy and comfort can exist at the same time with the right level of coverage, as well as emphasize and flatter the feminine shape.
The Rimmon gown is a mixture of Asian and Western culture. Combining french lace with silk crepe and nude lining underneath the lace cut out, this lightweight gown features a high neck with small cap sleeves. The structured bodice enhances the beautiful and feminine shape of the bride, giving a very elegant and sexy look. The intricate details on the back show the beauty of their handwork. This gown is perfect for both indoor and outdoor weddings.
The V-neck gown features a spaghetti strap lace top with silk crepe skirt that enhances the feminine shape and again shows the detail of their craftsmanship. The bottom can be a sheath look or a mermaid style, depending on the bride. This gown is perfect for an outdoor wedding in a garden or a winery. The fit and comfort level are the key to this design.
To emphasize the vintage appeal, an incredibly original ring from Trumpet and Horn was supplied with matching earrings. Vivian Tran brought the same intricate details in with ethereal hairpieces from Chic Shack for the bride who wore an effortless tousled style and sultry lived-in makeup.
The groom was sleek sophistication dressed in a black on black Ted Baker suit and shoes.
An absolutely impressive reflection of Los Angeles’ environment that synthesized graceful elegance with chic sophistication. Our appreciation to the marvelous talent that brought this romantic vintage wedding inspiration to us.
