Pnina Tornai

Pnina Tornai is a globally renowned couture bridal designer, brought into the spotlight in the U.S. as a star of TLC’s highly successful show, “Say Yes to the Dress.”

Largely self-taught, Pnina’s passion for design was inspired by her Moroccan mother and Egyptian father, who exposed her to elaborate cultural ceremonies and celebrations from a young age.  Her love for beauty and intricate details grew into a desire to create beautiful gowns that reflected her unique heritage and, after designing her own gown for her Parisian nuptials, Pnina discovered the transformative power of a single dress and was determined to share it with other brides.

Today, Pnina is recognized as one of the world’s leading couture bridal designers.  Sophisticated hand embroideries, body-hugging corsets and Swarovski crystal embellishments are hallmarks of Pnina’s opulent, luxurious and ultra-feminine wedding gowns, lovingly designed to bring out the “inner princess” in every bride.  Thousands of women from all over the world have travelled to meet with Pnina at her exclusive boutique inside Kleinfeld New York, including royalty, celebrities, and pop icons.  Pnina takes personal interest in all of her brides, feeling deeply honored to be dressing them for the most important day of their lives.

The Pnina Tornai product line has expanded to include footwear, accessories, headpieces, jewelry and fragrance, all befitting the brand’s couture aesthetic.  She recently added evening gowns to her growing collection, and also designs stunning caftans, which most closely represent her heritage. Pnina’s creations are sold around the world, including the United States, Canada, Italy, Israel, Greece, South Africa, South Korea, China and Japan.

In addition to a decade of her guest star appearances and television specials for the long-running “Say Yes to the Dress” series, which is currently broadcast in more than 140 countries, Pnina stars in several other television shows internationally including “Celebrity Master Chef” and “Ten Years Younger,” and has contributed to segments on ABC News, Good Morning America, “What Would You Do?” and VH1.

Pnina is also a gourmet cook with a love for entertaining, an avid gardener, and a collector of vintage couture fashion – a passion she developed while living in Paris for ten years. Much of Pnina’s design inspiration comes from her travels to exotic places where she takes in new cultures and beautiful surroundings, and is able to “see things differently, as though I am experiencing them for the very first time.”
