Be warned this is not your average nuptial exchange on the sandy shores south of the border. This luxury Mexico resort destination wedding is about to blow your mind from bride, décor to the lively entertainment. It’s also not just anywhere in Mexico. This virtual escape thanks to storyteller Duke Images takes us to the majestic scene in Punta Mita. Where, you say? This is Mexico’s IT city – a fishing village known for its luxury resorts like Imanta Resorts, upscale homes and private beaches off the Pacific Coast’s small peninsular on Banderas Bay. An absolutely modern chic gem. The location itself for this luxury Mexico resort destination wedding alone makes for an amazing day, but wedding planners Gonzalez+Helfon who tout creating dream weddings for the elite are at the helm of floral, lighting, rentals and even the literal icing on the cake! The magic Duke Images creates behind his lens is always enough of a draw for us as his weddings are the crème de la creme, but the gorgeous Vera Wang bride and jaw dropping reception in this gallery is a whole new meaning to dream wedding for us.
Luxury Mexico Resort Destination Wedding
Before we dive into Elena and Joshua’s luxury Mexico resort destination wedding, we must say that if there is one major take away from this couple – it’s that you should NEVER pass up on the opportunity to dance at another wedding. It’s actually how these lovebirds met! Josh’s best friend married her college roommate and that night they met on the dance floor. With Josh being from the DC area and Elena splitting her time between LA and Mexico City, their relationship started out juggling the long-distance. With her roots deep in Mexico growing up there as a child and her father being of Spanish decent, the region held a natural draw for their big day. The theme was determined by the venue’s beauty itself as they chose to highlight their vibe and compliment the ambience with a beach jungle feel. Heightening the appeal of paradise where their guests could escape from real world demands and enjoy the party that celebrated Elena and Joshua’s love for one another. The reception was in held in the middle of a clearing in the jungle. Due to the surrounding natural greenery, they kept with all white allowing for the candles and lighting to set the mood. The food was from a caterer in Guadalajara called I-Latina Catering, and was a Spanish/Mexican fusion, which was extra to the bride. Entertainment was also a key element to them, flying in over 300 people from all over the world for the soiree. The Bumbys, who are good friends of the bride broke the ice, then Latin music from Los Rumberos de Massachusetts, the amazing DJ Cesar Alvarez from Mexico City and finally Fadi Kod to pump up the party late night. It was like four different parties in one for this luxury Mexico resort destination wedding.
