Once upon a time there was a wedding from photographer Maik Dobiey that was so incredibly beautiful it made us even give pause. Enter this ultimate rustic chic wedding in Peru. Chiara and Rafael’s fairytale is not only blissfully chic, but exemplifies the levels of beauty that a backyard-inspired vibe can achieve on the private grounds of Fundo Mamacona. A little bit country, a touch vintage and all the wonder of a secret garden. We’re delirious over all the incredible details and décor elements that Paola Maldonado of Layout Event Planning created. From hundreds of floating paper swans cascading through the trees to varying tablescapes with printed linens and mix and match tableware. The warmth of the outdoors with white and greenery play into this ultimate rustic chic wedding in Peru, and we are elated to share this pretty gallery.
Ultimate Rustic Chic Wedding in Peru
Chiara wanted her guests to be surrounded by the intimate feel of a backyard atmosphere and the feeling of congregating on a vast sun porch. Something country with a warm feel at the same time incorporating the different florals native to Peru. The Fundo Mamacona property, a big private residence, mainly used for events these days was the ideal property to accomplish this vision. With a large parking space that crosses over to a little tunnel, the property opens up into a big terrace boasting a glorious garden. Here Layout Event Planning created the tented wedding reception reminiscent of a secret garden. The open-air ceremony took place on a smaller lawn next to the tunnel and the terrace with mounds of baby’s breath overflowing in soft wicker baskets to lead her down the aisle. Only the altar was elevated by a platform and draped in billowing fabrics for better viewing of the couple’s intimate “I Do’s” and promises of a lifetime of love. Guests dined on a vast menu of seafood and enjoyed the spitfires roasting exotic meats that scattered the patios. In Peruvian tradition, the dance floor was overrun after the couple’s first dance and never ended. The rustic chic vibe and décor with flowers at every turn, included a dedicated lounge area and big open bar being recreated after a part of the garden of Chiara’s own home cascading in ferns from the rooftop.
