Two things that make us happy? Kehoe Designs and an unconventional venue for a wedding. When we see both pop up on our screen, we know it's going to be good day. So when we first spotted this classic Chicago wedding at the Lincoln Park Zoo with its bright colors and a whimsical design an all caps JOY consumed us. Beautiful blooms and the work of LOLA Event Productions help transform this iconic Chicago venue into a cozy and warm ambience with its autumn color palette. Margaret and Brett's wedding is dripping with gorgeous details, and Ann & Kam Photography and Cinema snapped up every element for us to "ohhh and ahhh" over. From Margaret's Oscar de la Renta gown and Maria Elena Headpieces & Accessories to the magical double rainbow that hit just perfectly over the floating chuppah. Now, if that isn't Mother Nature's way of putting an exclamation point on an "I Do," we don't know what is!
Classic Chicago Wedding at the Lincoln Park Zoo
The ultimate goal for Margaret and Brett's classic Chicago wedding at the Lincoln Park Zoo was to invite guests into a cozy and warm environment inspired by the exquisite Prairie Style architecture of the building, where they'd eventually dance the night away underneath a ceiling filled with stars. To say guests were impressed and felt right at home would be an understatement. Mixed metallic and wrought iron brought in the right amount of industrial flair every Chicagoan seems to have deep in their soul, while the autumnal color palette of the florals by Kehoe Designs created rich and vibrant accents to the show stopping candlelight display that illuminated the venue. The ceremony was held in the Forman Pavilion, overlooking the Flamingo Pond within the Lincoln Park Zoo. Guests made their way over to Cafe Brauer to cocktail and lounge on the loggia and dine and dance in the Great Hall. Jewell Events Catering served up a mouthwatering feast and kept the bar flowing while The Chicago Players kept the dance floor packed the entire night, and even let the bride take her turn on the mic!
