From the Kleinfeld bride in her custom Hayley Paige stunner to her Marine groom in his dress blues. Home just long enough to say their “I Do’s,” Katie and Camden’s dream day brings out all the feels for us. Melissa & Beth and Firooz Filmz without a doubt made us feel like we were there celebrating right alongside them through each image and fab cinematography. And if you haven’t heard of Kansas City’s infamous Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers – you will now as Katie’s father is the co-founder and, of course, guests enjoyed a late-night surprise. The cherry on top had to be the baskets of fries and fountains of their famous fry sauce. What more could a bride want than a cheeseburger and fries from her dad’s local restaurant after burning off calories on the dance floor with her new husband?
Sentimental Military Wedding Day
Plain fact: Kleinfeld Bridal is where bridal dreams come true day in and day out. Case in point, Katie found her dream designer, Hayley Paige, after meeting her during one of her trunk shows. She fell in love with the idea of a custom-designed dress that had the lights bouncing off the gown’s embellishments and gems as she walked down the aisle. Paired with her mother’s pearl earrings a fab pair of Jimmy Choo sparklers, Katie carried her grandmother’s bible to honor her memory. Completely apropos as she and Camden chose the date of their wedding to commemorate her grandparent’s 61st wedding anniversary. Leading with that sentimental date years ago, the couple worked with Events by Elle to plan and create their elegant, timeless affair full of personal touches. Katie shared a special first look moment with her groom at an iconic Kansas City landmark, Liberty Memorial. The memorial, which pays tribute to World War I Veterans and is situated high on the hill overlooking the city skyline, was the perfect setting for their wedding day portraits. A luxurious white aisle lined with floral arrangements stretched from the double doors of Pennway Place to a chuppa wrapped in garlands of lush, white flowers and topped with layers of ethereal fabric by Studio Dan Meiners set the tone for this Jewish-Christian ceremony. After saying “I Do,” the newlyweds recessed down the aisle under an archway of swords, courtesy of Camden’s fellow Marine Corps soldiers. Sophisticated floral decor paired with luxurious linens, gave the reception room a magnitude of beauty. Local Freddy’s employees arrived in style in red aprons and vintage hats, keeping in theme with the old-fashioned style of the restaurant setting up a frozen custard bar with loads of toppings, a stand for flipping steakburgers with baskets of french fries and fountains cascading with Freddy’s fry sauce.
