This right here is proof that a sophisticated Washington winery wedding can make one unforgettable statement. Where do we begin with this exquisite wedding at Alexandria Nichole Cellars? The modern and natural edge – which is a fresh of breath air. The stunning bride whose polished style was created by Say I Do: Bridal Beauty. And, of course, the entire story and theme: “The Journey of an Estate Wedding,” that unfolds from behind Patrick Nied Photography lens, whose images tell the tale. As a couple, Nicole and Chris, love to entertain their friends and family with great food, amazing wine and good conversation. This is what brought to vision the theme for their wedding day. It is one that should seriously be given some thought for brides and grooms planning their own nuptial exchange.
Sophisticated Washington Winery Wedding
Most winery weddings we see tend to incorporate rustic touches. It is one of the reasons we are so enchanted with Nicole and Chris’ summer day under the sun. Their contemporary approach of creating an “experience” for their guests is a refreshing approach. It also happens to be right on trend with how people choose to travel these days. Thus… the journey! The moment Nicole and Chris identified the Estate at Destiny Ridge, the ideas started flowing. Overlooking the majestic Columbia River, the site of the Alexandria Nicole Cellars’ winery and vineyard provide and awe-inspiring backdrop that can easily bring an intimate experience to guests. Paramount for Nicole and Chris. Their day began with a shuttle ride from the hotel to the venue, about an hour each way. Guests enjoyed the changing landscape from the small city to farmland to views of the Colombia River. Arriving at the venue, everyone was given a glass of wine as they walked down the stairs lined with photos of the couple and out onto the patio. Nicoled and Chris’ ceremony was held on the deck overlooking the river. After their “I Do’s” everyone toasted to Wine o’Clock hour. This cocktail hour was held on a grassy lawn above the estate with 360 views of the river, miles of vineyards and other farmland acreage. The reception was held on the east side of the venue, where the tables were centered by beautifully crafted charcuterie boards that stretched across the length of the tables closely followed by family style dining for the main dishes. Dinner ended with cookies and donuts – Nicole and Chris’ favorite – back on the deck. The most romantic part of the day was mother nature providing her own Harvest Moon while everyone danced with the newlyweds long into the night – sharing in the beginning of one incredible journey.
