Blending Modern Romance with Bohemian Chic

A little pop of color, like sunshine yellow, can infuse so much style and whimsy into a wedding day. Take this delicious eye candy blending modern romance with bohemian chic wedding ideas styled by Charlotte Munro. Every detail is completely enchanting from Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium’s hand painted cake masterpieces to The Wedding Club’s lovely selection of designer gowns and the unexpected, wildly romantic spring color palette at the Poundon House in England. We could spend all day getting lost in this gorgeous editorial, set at this English country estate, thanks to Photography by Anna Marie’s stunning portrayal.

Blending Modern Romance with Bohemian Chic

Layered with texture, prints and plenty of free-spirited prettiness, no other style quite compares to that of bohemian chic. Inspired by the bright yellow walls of the drawing room, this talented team or England’s industry leaders created a vision that layers in a carefree feel with an eclectic mix of beauty. With loads of textured foliage and the occasional pops of colorful blooms arranged by Indeco Flowers this delight steps outside the color trend box. The rich, golden hue beautifully plays off the rustic opulent styles of Elizabeth’s Cake Emporiums – not one – but four hand painted cakes. Seriously, this lady has more talent than we can wrap our heads around! Selecting a collection of diverse gowns from top designers including Berta, Savannah Miller, Naeem Khan, the blend of modern romance with bohemian chic wedding ideas begin to take shape into a drop-dead gorgeous gallery. The laid-back elegance is one part classic and another part contemporary, that effortlessly comes across as wildly romantic. Maybe it’s the contrast the lush greenery creates drenching the stark white tablescape in with a whole lot of prettiness. Or the modern elegance that compliments the bohemian inspired garden party. Or the charming Edwardian-era country house set within the meticulously landscaped grounds. Whatever the winning combination, this editorial hits the mark in all the right places dishing out an overload of fabulous wedding day inspiration for today’s bride!

  1. Dear Strictly,
I am so pleased you featured this shoot. I’m lucky enough to be able to testify that Elizabeth’s cakes don’t just look amazing, but they taste amazing too. I tried some of the fabulous cupcakes at the end of the shoot – and let’s just say I couldn’t stop at one!
This was actually one of my favourite shoots to date as I drew inspiration from all the details that were brought together. Working with these ladies was a real treat. Poundon House were so welcoming and you are spoilt for choice as to where to shoot with so much character on offer.

Thanks again for helping us share the inspiration, I hope it helps some of your creative brides!

  2. Colors and elegance are absolutely amazing! Congratulations Elizabeth and all staff!
