Any wedding that begins with the reflection of a bride and groom’s unique style is a winner with us. Personal touches that become the highlight of the day. Stephanie and Matt’s whimsical nature inspired ballroom wedding theme was just that. Nature offers an almost endless inspiration and floral and event designer David Kimmel Design seamlessly brought the outdoors inside for a spectacular ambience for loved ones to celebrate at The Westin Stonebriar Resort and Club. Event planner Molly Rasmussen, Pop Parties ensured that every detail about this special day went off without a hitch while Sarah Kate Photo told the exquisite story from behind her lens.
Whimsical Nature Inspired Ballroom Wedding
Matt and Stephanie share a particularly special love story – one that began over twenty years ago when their two families became friends. Although the two had no interest in one another all those years and their mothers tried frequently to set up younger siblings, Matt and Stephanie quickly found themselves falling for each other after they spent time together at an annual family Oktoberfest party. Their family’s special bond resonated throughout the day beginning with Stephanie getting ready in her stunning Robert Bullock gown at her family home with her bridesmaids wearing Amsale. Surrounding by family and friends from around the world, Stephanie and Matt exchanged their vows with a traditional Catholic ceremony. At the reception, guests were greeted by two fourteen-foot peach trees where escort cards were built into logs and adorned with tree stumps and lush florals, as cocktails and appetizers were passed about. The overall theme for their wedding reception was a whimsical nature inspired ballroom wedding day that reflected the couple’s love for the outdoors. To achieve this, David Kimmel Design created whimsical details with large peach and magnolia trees taking center stage. Custom stage facades, and bars were made to match the brown cross back chairs in the overall design. A raining floral halo and custom dance floor decal also accented the room to match the couple’s invitation suite and monogram for the event. The favorite detail of the evening was the 300-personalized wood chip napkin rings which served both as the place card for the table and favor for guests. Their wedding day ended with a beautiful sparkler send off into a 1934 Master Touring Sedan and a day full of memories to last a lifetime.
