Classic City Wedding at Chicago Cultural Center
Michelle and Jeff’s fairytale is certainly one where a couple’s personalities shine through in each facet of their wedding day. With memorable portraits captured around the city’s historic landmarks boasting remarkable skyline views, this beautiful duo embraced all Chicago has to offer with its grandeur and grace. Their traditional church ceremony was held at the soaring Rockefeller Memorial Chapel at the heart of the University of Chicago campus. With its cathedral-like space, intricately tiled ceiling nearly eighty feet up and stained glass arches, the vision was nothing but exceptional for their vow exchange. Surrounded by her seven bridesmaids in knee-length pewter dresses, Michelle was a vision in a full lace strapless A-line gown. Pops of spring fresh yellow against sprays of white floral brought together a modern color palette. Guests moved to the Chicago Cultural Center, an architectural showplace, for the reception. Any décor is hard to compete with the Center’s stained glass Tiffany dome – a 38-foot ceiling space with more than 30,000 pieces of glass that radiates light. Playing tribute to the grand room’s Renaissance pattern and Favrile glass mosaic tiling, the yellow, gold and pewter color scheme enhances the architectural design of the space magnificently. Everything about this classic city wedding captures our love for tradition with a hint of modern flair.
