For those who don't know The Great Gatsby not only made a big comeback, but it is a theme that is not going away anytime soon for brides-to-be. Imagine a big day that looks like it's straight out of movie. Or a drop dead gorgeous Great Gatsby rehearsal dinner theme that channels all the glamour of the 1920's with just a few modern touches. Brought to us by Arte De Vie and Blue Gardenia New Orleans Events at the planning helm, this editorial is positively captivating. We got lost in the gilded gold details (just look at that Art Deco Nuage table linen), ebony glassware and candles, and uber chic wedding party. Don't even get us started on Melissa's Fine Pastries cake creation. This beauty is dripping with magical details, thanks to the assistance of Pret a Fete and Bee's Wedding Designs. One that will have you returning for seconds - perhaps even thirds. We can't blame you, we did too!

Gorgeous Great Gatsby Rehearsal Dinner Theme

What we love most about this editorial is that it focuses on the rehearsal dinner, the night before that is also equally as special with family and friends. It's often an overlooked event, but is also an opportunity for the bride and groom to take some edgy chances, mix styles and genres and take some fashion risks. All things we are big fans of when it comes to planning something unforgettable. This team did just that by infusing eclectic styling into one popular theme that can never be overdone. The groom's style was defined as industrial, modern edge, while her style is vintage Art Deco glamour. With the blank canvas of Contemporary Arts Center's industrial warehouse as the backdrop, they filled the room with one long dramatic table. The place settings are a mix of black, white, and gold accents and feature an etched metal menu with a laser cut velvet paper jacket. A line of crystal chandeliers and crystal candelabras with impossibly long black taper candles amp up the glamour and the drama, while Bee's Wedding Designs lush florals provide soft layers of texture. In the lounge area, the drama and the deco elements continue. Behind the vintage sofa is a decoupage wallpaper wall, a unique alternative to a flower wall that is simple to create and allows any bride and groom to use patterns, styles that reflect their unique aesthetic. The bubbly bar is a perfect entree into their rehearsal dinner and a memorable way to greet guests on any occasion. The cake table repeats the wallpaper wall element; but, adds in greenery and florals in a modern take on a floral wall. All of this detail is balanced with a matte sequin black linen (that looks a bit like liquid leather) and a simple cake stand. Every detail of this rehearsal dinner is infused with style and finesse. It's formal; but, still fun. And, elegant but still fresh and modern. An evening that sets the stage for a weekend of celebrating, getting everyone ready for the big day. The night before is a time to celebrate the anticipation of "I Do's."
