Give us a childhood love story straight from a modern day fairytale that ends with a tropical destination wedding in Cancun and call us smitten. That is exactly what Hannah and her prince charming, Francisco delivered to us. Not to mention a dose of pink prettiness. With the cooler weather setting in it is the perfect time to virtually soak up some vitamin D. It’s for the greater good as we see it though, because this seaside soiree is just too pretty to pass up. The perfect example of why destination weddings are just so darn dreamy – especially when the bride is wearing Morilee by Madeline Gardner gown with a nuptial exchange at Dreams Riviera in Cancun all captured byJonathan Cossu Photographer. But, truly, it is Hannah’s story of meeting her one true love at the age of eight and by chance that makes us giddy today. Romance always wins with us. Hannah and Francisco’s story is certainly an endearing one and perhaps best told by the bride herself!
Tropical Destination Wedding in Cancun
From the Bride…
“It was kind of a funny story. I grew up on a lake and my family and I went for a boat ride one weekend with some relatives. We ran out of gas mid-ride… right in front of my future husband’s (Francisco) family’s summer cottage. My cousin, Chad, happened to be best friends with Fran, and there he was on the shore waving to Chad. Fran came to our rescue with a gas can and joined us for the rest of our boat ride to hang out with his best friend. At this time I was probably 8 years old, and he was 16 but I developed a “little girl crush” on him. I never saw him again until 10 years later when I was 18 and he was 26 at my family Christmas. We had both just broken up with our boyfriend/girlfriend and I walked in and it was love at first (technically second) site for both of us. I left that evening to hang out with a few friends home from college and Fran had told my cousin and Aunt that he was going to marry me, even though we had barely spoken to each other that night. We started dating two months after when I reached out to him trying to embarrass him for saying he was going to marry me, and he said, “yes that’s because I am going to marry you someday”. Now here we are! We both love traveling and have traveled all around the world together. We live together in a house with our two Golden Doodle dogs. We both work very hard during the day and find solace in each other after long days.”
