A Southern wedding affair is expected to be larger than life, and boy, did this dazzling white and gold Texas wedding redefine the phrase. And the couple? Even more so! We are enraptured by this love story reflected in the glitz and glamor seen in the bridesmaids’ dresses, the exquisite collection of nosegays and candelabras full of white roses by Coby Neal from The Flower Studio, and the breathtaking views seen on the hills of Villa Antonia. Thank you to Svetlana Photography for skillfully capturing the many beautiful moments shared between the bride and groom and their friends and family on such a special day.
White & Gold Inspiration
The couple studied individually at SMU (Southern Methodist University) and took a Meteorology class together sophomore year. “Vance asked me out a couple times, but I was always dating another guy so I kept telling him no. He was persistent though, and right after our graduation- literally that same night- I decided to give him a chance. We both say we fell for each other over the summer we first started dating. Things between us just worked. We didn’t have to try.” After a few years of dating, the groom staged an over-the-top proposal in a truck bed while feeding giraffes! Can this couple get any more precious?
Once the wedding planning was underway, our bride’s focus shifted to hosting an event that represented her relationship with her fiancé. The bride’s preferences in style and décor are consistently displayed through the blending of modern Texas-themed accents and the more traditional lace-work seen both the dress and veil. Gold details are seen throughout in Sterling Affairs Catering & Events’ and the venue Villa Antonia’s décor, and in the spectacular bridesmaids’ dresses. The venue itself with its white stonework and aged surrounding seems to embody the bride’s dream palette- a perfect setting for a white and gold wedding. This event takes a time-honored Southern theme and transforms it into a shimmering spectacle!
