Can this pink & navy wedding inspiration shoot get any more precious? We are tickled pink by this wedding by the water with its gold details and succulent additions in the delightful florals so elegantly assembled by Blooming Flowers and Gifts. As we bid the summer season and its many thematic treasures farewell, we can’t help but want to bring some of those elements with us into the holidays. Photographer Sara Purdy and the many collaborators that brought this inventive theme to life. Custom Confections’ jaw dropping cake design just showcases the professionalism and vision that went into this pink and navy shoot.
Inspiration by the Water
The designers of this theme wanted to combine modern elements like the bold stripes seen in the wedding cake and the simplistic attire seen on both bride and groom, with rustic details and romantic scenery. Navy and pink were the primary colors, and hints of gold were added in subtle pops to enhance the overall romantic feel of the shoot. This particular setting by the water was chosen to utilize the gorgeous natural spaces around at Channelside. The open green lawn with the canals in the background would make an ideal wedding ceremony location. Along the water, a romantic and intimate setting was created through the use of strung lights and lanterns lining the dock. What makes this a truly special setup is that the lights are reflected in the canal! Staying true to the intimate setting, the bride’s Wtoo gown, from Everly Grace Bridal, was specifically chosen to be slim and form fitting.
The versatility of this theme is completely intentional. The photographer resides in Florida and many of the details she and the vendors chose — the branches and greenery on the arbor, the various lanterns, the model’s gown — could easily fit into a private backyard style wedding, or a beach setting.
