Layer upon layer of elegant English wedding inspiration is about to unfold before your very eyes in the form of Rupa Nagamootoo’s artful imagery and Boe Wright’s vision from Botias Tailored Hair and Makeup, one of the leading bridal styling companies in the United Kingdom. With a slightly Parisian vibe, inspired by French interior decorator Alberto Pinto, this Lanesborough affair glows with rich detailing that we crave. Stirred by the Belgravia ballroom’s femininity, opulence and intimacy of pastel pinks and blues they envisioned a modern interpretation of the period. A perfectly styled table, florals by Enchanted by Syma and that cake! Purely decadent thanks to the fine artistry of renowned cake designer Elizabeth Solaru with Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium.
Elegant English Wedding Décor
The Lanesborough is reputedly the most expensive hotel in London. It’s had quite a diverse history and associations with royalty. Described as an adventure in gracious style and a revival of traditional British hospitality. Refurbished in 2012 with design innovations courtesy of the late French interior decorator Alberto Pinto. In its fairly recent inception, it has become a manifestation of luxury and elegance, attracting clients from all over the world for its private feel. Using a unique mix of flowers, Enchanted by Syma designed statement pieces featuring beautiful pink roses, cream peonies, hydrangeas and assorted greenery. The blooms were complimented perfectly by the crystal candelabras, plinths and display creating a sense of grandeur. Gathering influence from the Lanesborough’s Wedgwood inspired decor Elizabeth, author of Opulencia, created two Wedgwood style cakes, cupcakes and cookies. She imitated the traditional plaster cornices and plaques featured in the room, particularly on the ceiling. The cake’s soft blue and white palette complimented the intricate details of the room perfectly.
