We’ll be the first to admit that this sun-drenched French garden romance in the South of France is a fete that totally makes our hearts skip more than a beat or two. A shoot filled with blush pinks, grays, greens and ivory, but better yet? It all took place on the beautiful grounds of Villa-Mas Lou Peylouet in Grasse on the French Riveria. The surrounding backdrop makes us want to get lost in the entire dreamy day planned by Love from Mwai with Amanda Karen behind the lens for us to relish. From the whimsical romantic touches by Azur Flowers and rustic textures to the effortlessly chic bridal style of Ela Siromascenko and Freya Rose this team of British, Italian and French vendors pulled out all the stops.
French Garden Romance
French wedding style is all about achieving a look of modest elegance. The idea of this French garden romance stemmed from their love of all things vintage and romantic. By gathering inspiration from beautiful laces and gorgeous pastels, they were able to conceive a modern twist on a timeless concept. The wedding dress designed by Ela Siromascenko from Milan was the designer of the uber feminine wedding dress with hand-cut lace flowing with grace and made specifically for the shoot. The bride’s style was polished off with the modern flare and elegance of Freya Rose’s Tabitha lace up heels and opulent golden Ennis rose heels. Equally impressive, this team had a very small window of opportunity to capture the perfect shots, forced to change the venue the morning of the shoot due to heavy rains the night before that caused a flood.
South of France
A beautiful color palette created the foundation emphasizing the lovely understated tablescape with beautiful cotton linens and a touch of romance with glassware and gold cutlery from White House Crockery. The menu, printed paper suite of Ollie’s Studios set the tone for a quixotic soiree while the magnificent floral centerpieces by Azur Flowers was the table’s pièce de résistance. The Lemonade Bar fit in perfectly playing on the rustic vibe of the countryside and Al fresco dining. To add to the sweetness of the affair and finishing touches, Riviera Creme De La Creme crafted decadent macaroons and a four tier golden cake designed so delicately it was just ideal for this French garden day.
