Exclusive Interview with Eve Muscio

SW: What kind of shape wears a ball gown best?

Eve: Every bride is unique in body shape which is why ball gown silhouettes look beautiful on frames from small to large.

SW: What things should a bride take into consideration choosing a ball gown?

Eve: There is so much to consider when choosing a ball gown. For instance, think about what you would like for a skirt an A-line or a drop waist. Ask yourself, if you would prefer strapless, cap sleeves or long sleeves. Also what king of train, chapel or cathedral? This can depend on what time of day you are getting married. Cathedral trains are certainly the most dramatic.

SW: What is the best way to accessorize a ball gown?

Eve: The veil to wear with a ball gown should be a cathedral length, as it completes the total look. Also, take into consideration how embellished the bodice is to determine the jewelry selection.

SW: What kind of fabrics and embellishment should a bride consider for a ball gown?

Eve: When deciding on a ball gown consider whether you want beading, embroidery or lace. My ball gowns are designed to fit to perfection. I have been using tulle with sequin and horsehair that gives the gown a lighter feel and look. Another fabric, I use is silk satin and silk organza.

SW: Are there any new trends you see with ball gowns?
