It's a whimsical wedding day treat with Alice in Weddingland, our partner Elizabeth Solaru from Elizabeth's Cake Emporium and a whole new cast of characters. You read that right, not Wonderland but Weddingland! Certainly beginning with a "once upon a time" theme, but set 150 years after Alice went down the rabbit hole. We are delighted to bring this whimsical, pastel styled shoot to our pages and inspire you for a wedding, bridal shower or any magical event you may be planning! Keeping top of mind that it may all mix and sometimes match, but really does it ever make any sense? Stylist Charmaine James of Weddings By Encharm'd relived every emotion and wonderment she felt when reading Alice's story. She obsessed over the pastel colors and hints of gold and delighted in the feminine touches to bring this new story to life with a talented group of vendors in the United Kingdom. Surrounded by vivid blooms, a tea party and edible delights, every bride will find adventure within this dreamy affair perfectly captured by photographer Roberta Facchini.

Alice in Wonderland Weddingland

"There is a place, like no place on earth
A land full of wonder, mystery and danger
Some say, to survive it,
you need to be mad as a hatter,
Which luckily, I am"

Tea Party Delight

All tales begin with an amazing setting. This particular chapter of Alice in Weddingland took place at the Loggia of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park hotel in London. An intimate room with a magical view of Hyde Park created the romantic and glamorous surrounding. Of course, Alice being Alice, went straight for the tea party and sweet table. No tea party is complete without decadent eye-candy and yumminess! Elizabeth of Elizabeth's Cakes Emporium out did herself, as she is known to do, by creating an over-the-top dessert table filled with the most amazing edible delights. Cupcakes with a touch of gold, hand-painted cookies with keys and floral delicately gracing the tops and not one - but two whimsical cakes. Our favorite is the teacup cake that formed one jaw-dropping 4-tiered cake. Even the imperious Queen of Hearts declared, "THIS is a sweet table."

Because More is More!

The flowers were in abundance just as they should be in a Weddingland. We swear it was the Mad Hatter who tipped over the vase on the sweetheart table! Pastel colors and luscious blooms took over the scene as Amie Bone Flowers visualised and brought to life the word "wanderlust." If there is anything that we remember most about this favorite childhood tale is that there is nothing that is too much. The more - the more impressive. Taking this into account, the paper floral wall created by Oxana and Karolina of Paper Flower Weddings fit right into this world. Each carefully handcrafted flower in glorious pastel paper made every inch of the backdrop pop. We Are Knotted developed a paper suite to match the occasion in bright pastel blue and pink. The geometric patterns create an additional layer of texture and appeal.

Through the Looking Glass

Alice is enchanting and demur with a natural look that kept her true innocence alive. She wore a Heart A Flutter gown designed by Marianna Lanzilli gown while Jonathan her groom was down to earth in well tailored suit.

Such a delightful glimpse through the looking glass into the adventure of this dreamy Weddingland!
