A Shakespeare wedding day evokes the ideas of adventurous passion, heightened love and a marriage of true minds. Perfect for a couple who's proposal story played out during their European vacation. Duke Photography brings us a true gem with Jennifer and Curtis' love story beginning at a dog beach in Huntington Beach. The story tells of today's featured bride falling in love with his dog before her soon-to-be groom. Curtis was taking his German Shepherd puppy out for a walk, which happens to be Jennifer's favorite breed when they first laid on eyes on each other.

Did My Heart Love 'Til Now?

Curtis honored Jennifer's love for travel by creating one of the most romantic and over-the-top proposals during their European vacation. On their arrival into Rome, he scheduled a "photography tour." The day was spent being chauffeured in a private car with a local photographer capturing memories of the couple visiting Rome's most beautiful locations. At the last stop, Curtis proposed under a bridge perfectly timed at sunset. This life-changing adventure played an important part in the inspiration behind their Shakespeare wedding. They chose The Vibiana in Los Angeles for the ceremony and The Majestic Downtown for their reception due to the architecture that reminded them of their time in Italy. Drawing on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet love story, they created a theme that would reflect their own star-crossed romance with meaningful quotes dotting the occasion: "Did my heart love 'til now?," "Forswear it, sight!," and "For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night."

An Eye for Fashion and Design

Jennifer wore a gorgeous Justin Alexander ball gown that she customized and had tailored. As a fashion major, Jennifer added her own personal touches to her spectacular dream dress. She polished her bridal look with golden strapped Christian Louboutin heels. Her bridesmaids glistened in Badgley Mischka's gold sequin dresses making for a truly stunning bridal party!

Romantic Ambience

Together Jennifer and Curtis planned their entire vision for their Shakespeare wedding with perfect lighting that cast a dramatic and warm ambience throughout the venues to the dazzling gold linen tables accented beautifully with tall floral arrangement with roses from 800RoseBig. The day of their wedding they enlisted the help of Michelle Morley to assist with the details and timing so that they could enjoy every moment of the day's festivities.
