The Pnina Tornai 2016 collection introduces an awe-inspiring variety of gowns representing the essence of Wind Upon Water. The renowned designer of TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress” believes that “where there is water, there is life and where there is life, there is love.” Each new design from the Pnina Tornai 2016 collection draws upon this inspiring notion creating statement works of art for brides-to-be this wedding season.
The fall/winter 2016 collection is inspired from how wind moves water, creating breathtaking re-reflections of light and recreating the breaking and fluff of waves as they hit the sand. With this vision top-of-mind, the designer utilized water-like crystals, coral laces, wavy ruffles and water-like pearls to mimic the magic of wind upon water for the dazzling details. The chosen fabrics echo the elemental rhythm of the world, from flowing chiffons to coral-inspired laces.
To underscore the Wind Upon Water theme, Pnina Tornai’s ad campaign was shot in the dry desert where water is most needed. We are enamored with this campaign as the contrasting environmental conditions heightened the pristine and jaw-dropping designs. As if to breathe life into each ethereal gown.

Largely self-taught, Pnina’s passion for design was inspired by her Moroccan mother and Egyptian father, who exposed her to elaborate cultural ceremonies and celebrations from a young age. Her love for beauty and intricate details grew into a desire to create beautiful gowns that reflected her unique heritage and, after designing her own gown for her Parisian nuptials, Pnina discovered the transformative power of a single dress and was determined to share it with other brides.
The Pnina Tornai product line has expanded to include footwear, accessories, headpieces, jewelry and fragrance, all befitting the brand’s couture aesthetic. She recently added evening gowns to her growing collection, and also designs stunning caftans, which most closely represent her heritage. Pnina’s creations are sold around the world, including the United States, Canada, Italy, Israel, Greece, South Africa, South Korea, China and Japan.
