Today, Strictly Weddings brings you an opulent lakeside wedding at Sierra Lago in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We'll transport you to Karoll and Carlos' lavish wedding, complete with a sacred family chapel, carriage rides, chandeliers and a beautiful firework display. Thanks to the couple's wedding planner, Alchemy Fine Events & Invitations, for sharing their wedding story.

Karoll & Carlos' Love Story
The beautiful couple grew up in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, but weren't really close because of their age difference. Years later, in sunny San Diego, they attended the same university and were brought together through mutual friends. Destined for more than friendship, the couple fell in love. Carlos became an architect and Karoll a designer. When Carlos received a prestigious internship offer with an architect in Hong Kong, Karoll didn't hesitate to follow her love. As their love grew for one another throughout their travels, Carlos decided to plan a romantic proposal at Kensington Gardens in London. Shortly after, they came home to Puerto Vallarta, to plan their new life, starting with an amazing and unforgettable wedding.

A Lush Lake Wedding in a Sacred Family Chapel
On the family's inland property tucked next to Sierra Lago, Karoll's father built an open-air family chapel inspired by a local monastery. Her father, formerly the Mayor of Puerto Vallarta, built the chapel in hopes that both his daughters would be married there. Sure enough, his dreams came true when Karoll was married there. Shortly after, her sister also married at the family's chapel.

Carriage Rides for the Fairy Tale Wedding
Karoll arrived at the family chapel on her wedding day in a flower-draped, horse-drawn carriage dressed in a Monique Lhuillier gown. The bride made her way down a walkway sprinkled with petals to wed her handsome groom dressed in Dolce & Gabbana. They exchanged their vows with the sky as their ceiling and the tropical lake as their backdrop.

A Lavish Tent Wedding Reception
The wedding reception was held in a dazzling tent next to the chapel. The tent was draped in dove grey chiffon and lit by custom-built crystal chandeliers and edition bulbs. The effect was like being under a starlit sky. Outside the tent, glass lanterns and scattered pink rose petals gave the reception an even warmer glow.

Blissful Pink, Black and White Wedding Décor
The tables were set with candelabras and pink and white flowers with black and white table settings. Chrome accents and Lucite chairs set the stage for the luxurious wedding reception.

At cocktail hour, guests were treated to charcuterie boards of Jamón ibérico and imported cheeses displayed on custom wood and chrome tables. Guests sipped cocktails from a massive round bar that surrounded the trunk of an ancient tree.

Feast for a King and Queen
Since the family owns resorts in the area, they brought one of their resorts' top chefs to create a five-course dinner fit for a king and queen. Speaking of which, the bride and groom's table was fit for royalty. Dinner included: Fois Gras, oxtail soup, passion fruit sorbet and Kobe Wagyu beef fillets, followed by deserts.

The Dreamiest of Wedding Dessert Displays
A candy-striped wall with oversized flowers gushed with chocolate truffles, boxed macaroons, and of course, the white petal wedding cake. The best moment was when the petite bride had to stand on a chair just to cut the cake.

Wedding Fireworks
After dinner, the guests were treated to a fantastic firework display while Telefunka, played the bride and groom's favorite song in the background. The wedding chapel was transformed into a lounge, where guests sipped on cognac while they enjoyed hand-rolled monogramed cigars made right at the wedding.

The happy couple and their guests danced the night away on a black and white dance floor until 5 am! Congrats Karoll and Carlos! Your Puerto Vallarta Wedding was one of the most inspirational we've seen.
