It was love at first sight for Paul, the groom, who first took notice of the bride the day she walked in for an interview at the CPA firm he was working for. He still vividly remembers what I wore… black heels, black slacks, a white button down shirt, carrying a crescent moon shaped Louis Vuitton purse. We really hit it off as friends as we loved the same things and once we started to travel together for work, we really got to know each other better. Eating lunch together as co-workers eventually became lunch dates between lovers. – the Bride
Three years later Paul found the perfect opportunity to propose to the love of his life. He wanted to whisk me away to New York City for my 30th birthday, a place I had dreamt of spending winter in. After a nice romantic snowy stroll in Central Park, on my birthday, I was pleasantly surprised with a beautiful emerald cut solitaire engagement ring. – the Bride
We loved every aspect of our wedding! To say our wedding was a dream is truly an understatement. We wanted to infuse our modern style and the wonderful time we spent in wintery New York together with dramatic elements. This fusion was seen in every detail throughout the wedding starting with our custom made modern wedding invitation made of frosted acrylic. A ceremony tent dressed to appear as if you were out in the winter woods under the dusk lit sky with snowfall appearing upon our first kiss as husband and wife, and as we made our way down the white glossy aisle (a catwalk no less)! The ballroom was filled with large crystal chandeliers resembling icicles hanging above. Tables were dressed to the nines with glass orbs containing large orchid blooms resembling snowballs cascading from gray manzanita trees and silver Mica Chip wallpaper lined lampshades trimmed with dusty miller leaves accented with groups of vintage crystal vases holding white blooms. Heavenly clouds graced the icy dance floor. Our sweetheart table sparkled with beautiful all-sequined linen, which stood in front of a dramatic custom backdrop. The backdrop featured Phalaenopsis orchids surrounded by circular mirrors and rattan structures cascading out from the wall. To top off this ethereal winter wonderland was an absolute beautiful, not to mention delicious, wedding cake that stood 3 feet tall and decorated with flowers all handmade of sugar. – the Bride
The guests were entertained by a talented emcee who can carry a tune very well, a ballroom dance revue, and a hip-hop exhibition, which included an impromptu performance by Paul.
